Hi Everyone!
My sale last Saturday was a huge success! I spent the week burning the midnight oil and making as much as I could. Of course having the sale at the end of the month meant I also had to have replacement stock made ready to send to the galleries at the start of November....double trouble!!
What madness and great fun at the same time!
I must admit I was a bit worried how the sale would go as I didn't do a lot of advertising and didn't factor in that it would be a long weekend here in Melbourne due to Darby day races and "The Cup" on Tuesday.
Well I worried for nothing (isn't it always the way) and my first customer arrived at 9.50am and we didn't slow down till 2pm.
A BIG thankyou to my daughter J'aime who helped price and set up the day before and to Dianne who was an absolutely brilliant help on the day and kept me sane.....I couldn't have done it without them.

To all my WONDERFUL customers a very big THANKYOU!
Your well wishes and beautiful comments really made everything I do worthwhile. It definitely was, "a feel good day".
Your support is greatly appreciated.

This month at Stonehouse Gallery is all about steaming winter casseroles, hot cups of tea and warm cosy scarves and wraps.

You'll be greeted at the door with deep red bowls and a tea pot from One Tree Hill.

Jan O'Neill's earthy platters are begging for hot roast beef and you can just imagine serving your favorite recipe from Barbara Ratcliffe's beautiful casseroles.

May Textile Exhibition at STONEHOUSE

Robyn Carter, also a potter, has used her brilliant designing talents in her wonderful east meets west bags. Robyns bags are beautifully made and she sources fabrics from all over the world. I love the way she mixes her colours and fabrics and gets a very "today" look.

Michelle Mischkulnig is a well known textile artist and her wall art is always in great demand. Here is one of her fabulous silk dyed and mixed textile scarves that she is also becoming famous for. Just lovely!

The beautiful rich blue wrap is made by Di Allen a talented textile artist who has moved from making the most dynamic ceramic pieces to designing rich and warm felt creations. How talented can one person be!

The Textile Exhibition is open daily 10am to 5pm for the month of May 09 at Stonehouse Gallery, 103 Yarra Street, Warrandyte, Victoria, Australia
