Love Blue Winter Skies

Well here we are in the middle of winter looking for something to do on our weekends whilst rugged up in our winter woolly scarves and coats, and looking for the best hot chocolate in town to keep us warm.

If you haven't been to Warrandyte, it's worth the trip.
Take a casual walk along the tree lined river and stop at Coco Moon for delicious hot chocolate or coffee and great food. Stonehouse Gallery, opposite the Pub, has food for the soul with wonderful quality hand made gifts and art. They have a new exhibition every month, check out the link to see whats on.
Art by Sue Gilford on until the 31st July

We All Know Greens Are Good For You

"Eat your greens!", we have all heard that from our mothers at one time or another as we sat at the table with a mountain of green "stuff" pilled on our plates. Some definitely looked more appetizing than others.
I actually LOVE brussel sprouts. I can hear the Yuks now from you, but my mother served them fried with bacon and served in a delicious light white sauce, clever mum ( and no, we were not fat in those days). So, not all greens are equal are they?
As I was fossicking yesterday through my semi precious stone stash, looking for inspiration, I found some beautiful irregular faceted subtle Green Amethyst that I had quite forgotten about.
I had a light bulb moment and went straight to my bench. It didn't take me long to decide what I would do with these beautiful subtle green stones. I decided to oxidize the silver to make the green pop, and added some 14K Gold Filled wire as a contrast.
